Wedding Mexican catering near East Barnet

How our wedding Mexican catering works in East Barnet

We plan the wedding menu with you, perhaps with fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga or birria, alongside vegan choices like black beans or spiced mushrooms. It suits receptions after an intimate ceremony and food for evening guests, serving quesadillas, a taco bar for the wedding breakfast and loaded nachos.

In East Barnet, couples might book tacos for the wedding breakfast, the evening, or both. Narrow streets mean we plan the arrival carefully, and a parking suspension may be needed at some venues. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Evening tacos

Tacos are great evening food.

Quesadillas

A simple option for younger guests.

Space, access and the venue

No two venues are the same, so we’ll ask about yours when you contact us. Generally, we look for:

  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
  • A place for the truck or trailer near where guests are eating
  • Space for guests to queue

In East Barnet, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.

  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Nachos to share

FAQs for East Barnet

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Oak Hill Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Which station is closest to East Barnet?

Oakleigh Park station, about 0.5 miles north-west of the centre.

Do you work with our venue?

Yes, it makes life easier. Introduce us and we will sort the details.

What access do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

What about supplier meals?

Just add them to your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

How is the food prepared?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

What if our speeches run late?

It happens at most weddings. Food is served to order, so we can start when you’re ready, even if that moves.

Should I do it myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Comparing your options

If you are weighing up a taco bar against a traditional menu, think about your venue, your guests’ diets and the feel of the day. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

What you get with us

What happens on the day

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. For a summer wedding in East Barnet, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, which means evening food is usually served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. After serving, we clear away.

How to prepare

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Ask the venue about power and water

How to get a price
