Wedding Mexican catering in Forest Row

Wedding Mexican catering for your wedding in Forest Row

Mixed diets are easier with a Mexican wedding menu: we plan vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options and give allergen information for every dish. On the menu are loaded nachos, fresh guacamole and salsas and tacos, which works well for weddings with lots of dietary needs and relaxed wedding breakfasts.

In Forest Row, a local ceremony and a marquee reception is a personal choice. A food truck by the marquee suits that kind of day. Tell us about access to the field or garden. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

How it works

Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. For a summer wedding in Forest Row, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so evening tacos are typically served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. We start with your date, venue, guest numbers and ideas for the day.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day we set up and serve when your running order says.
  5. Once service is done, we pack away quietly.

How to compare caterers

Space, access and the venue

No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. In general, we need:

  • A serving spot close to the marquee or reception area
  • Space for guests to queue
  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

On the menu in Forest Row

  • Evening tacos
  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Burritos and bowls
  • Margarita bar

Dietary needs and planning tips

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because guests can choose what suits them. A few tips:

  • Include suppliers who need feeding
  • Check your date with us early
  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Put us in touch with your venue

The truck or trailer can be placed where guests can see it.

Tell us if you need plates, cutlery or staff, and we will set it out in the quote.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

Many food trucks only cover evening food. We can cater the wedding breakfast too, so one caterer covers the day. Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we will park.

It’s up to you: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will talk licensing through with you.
