Wedding Mexican catering for Kencot events

DIY taco night or a caterer?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

About our wedding Mexican catering in Kencot

Add our Mexican drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with alcohol-free options too. Licensing is checked with you and the venue first. At weddings with mixed diets and sharing-style wedding meals, we can serve burrito bowls, quesadillas and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast and more.

Near Kencot, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That’s where a food truck comes into its own: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Let us know about access, ground, power and water. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Have cover for guests if the weather turns
  • Let us know about severe allergies in writing
  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Tell us when the speeches will be

If things run late, and we will move the serving time.

Extra salsas and toppings make the taco bar look generous.

Kencot questions

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Peter: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Is Kencot close to London?

It is about 67 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it works.

Do you need electricity?

Tell us what the site has, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

How long do you serve for?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.

Can you keep it mild?

It is up to you: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Do you come to Kencot?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Kencot and the rest of Oxfordshire. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

What if the photos overrun?

We adapt. We stay in touch with your coordinator and serve when you’re ready.

How the day works

Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. At midsummer, sunset in Kencot is about 9:30pm, so we can time the evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September.

  1. We start by checking your date.
  2. You pick the menu with us.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Preparing for the day

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Tell us when you want service to start

What we need at the venue

We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.
