Wedding Mexican catering in Matfield, served fresh

Our food truck or trailer suits marquee, barn and garden weddings, as long as we can drive in safely and park on level ground. It suits rustic barn weddings and engagement parties at home, serving burrito bowls, loaded nachos and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast.

A wedding in a small place like Matfield often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

Step by step

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. For a summer wedding in Matfield, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, which means evening food is normally served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan the food for your day.
  3. We agree timings and access with the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We pack down and leave our area tidy.

Planning help

For planners, venues and organisers

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Tacos cover them with separate fillings. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Why us?

  • Menus for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Quoted for your event

Catering for every guest

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards
  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Plan a covered area for eating in case of rain
  • Let us know about supplier meals

On the day, we work with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you do not have to.

Loaded nachos make easy evening food.

Should I do it myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in Matfield

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the High Weald National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.

Which station should guests use for Matfield?

Paddock Wood station, about 2.1 miles north of the centre.

Can you serve in the rain?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

That’s confirmed with each quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so contact us early.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes. We offer dairy-free options, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a photo of the space and the way in.
