How our wedding Mexican catering works in Minster Lovell

A food truck can make a colourful backdrop for photos, and guests like watching their food being served. Popular choices include evening tacos, fresh guacamole and salsas and loaded nachos, which works well for late-evening wedding food and big weddings with every diet.

A wedding in a small place like Minster Lovell often means a field, a barn or a family garden. That’s where a food truck comes into its own: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

How it compares

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen and a larger team. Our truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and the style is more relaxed. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

For planners, venues and organisers

Hosting a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

The process

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. At midsummer, sunset in Minster Lovell is about 9:30pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 9:00pm, and in late September about 7:10pm.

  1. We start with your date, venue, guest numbers and ideas for the day.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. We agree access, timings, power and water with you and your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue, around speeches and photos.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

Common questions in Minster Lovell

Do you come out to small places like Minster Lovell?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of Saint Kenelm?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What happens if it rains?

Rain does not usually stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, including Oxfordshire. See all areas.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?

Yes. We will speak to your venue about access and timings.

Can you cater the whole day?

We can. We can do a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos for the evening.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
