Questions to ask before you book

Is wedding Mexican catering right for your wedding?

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen and a larger team. Our truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and the style is more relaxed. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

Why us?

  • We cover North Street and the whole of Kent
  • Menus for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests
  • Quoted for your event
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch

See our pricing and the cost guide.

Should I do it myself?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need at the venue

We serve from a truck or trailer, so where we park matters. These are the things we check:

  • A place for the truck or trailer near where guests are eating
  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Permission from the venue or landowner

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

How the day works

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. By late September, sunset in North Street is around 7:00pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. A late-May wedding keeps its light until roughly 8:45pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You pick the menu with us.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Getting ready for the day

  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

Planning help

Weddings in North Street: venues, ceremonies and travel

North Street is about 2 miles south of Faversham, in Kent. Give us the address of your wedding in North Street, and we will plan the journey and set-up. We cover all 922 towns and villages in Kent, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. We cater right across the region, from North Street to Canterbury (8 miles away).

Close to North Street are historic houses such as Belmont House and Gardens (2 miles south-west). If your reception is at a historic house or estate, ask early about its rules on outside caterers and vehicles. If you’re marrying at a church near North Street, such as Church of St James, a reception in a garden, field or venue nearby keeps the day flowing. A rural reception could be within reach, as the Kent Downs National Landscape is no more than about 8 miles from North Street. Firm ground and a clear way in matter more than the view for a food truck.

For wedding Mexican catering in ME13, we plan around your venue and the route in and timings. If your venue is just outside North Street, we also cover Sheldwich (1 mile south), Sheldwich Lees (1 mile south), Painter's Forstal (1 mile north-west), Badlesmere (2 miles south) and Throwley (2 miles south-west). North Street: your questions answered

Do you cater in villages like North Street?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St James?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

Can you do gluten-free food?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Can you cater the whole day?

We can. We can do a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos for the evening.

Will you talk to our venue?

Yes. We are happy to talk to your venue about access, timings, power and water.

How long do you serve for?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

Can you cater for vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish.
