Planning an event in Oare?

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

How our wedding Mexican catering works in Oare

Evening food needs to be quick and filling, and tacos or loaded nachos from our food truck or trailer fit the bill. At evening wedding food and engagement parties at home, we’ll put together a menu of fresh guacamole and salsas, burrito bowls and quesadillas.

Near Oare, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. A truck or trailer works well there: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Let us know about access, ground, power and water. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

The process

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. At midsummer, sunset in Oare is about 9:25pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:55pm, and in late September about 7:10pm.

  1. You send us your wedding date, venue, numbers and how you see the day.
  2. You get a suggested wedding menu and a quote to match.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue, around speeches and photos.
  5. We pack down after service and leave our area tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

What affects the price in Oare

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • The number of people
  • What’s on the menu
  • Parking and the route in

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in Oare

Do you cater in villages like Oare?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Is Oare close to London?

About 51 miles from central London.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

How many guests can you serve?

Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes.

Where do you cater?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, including Oare.
