Wedding Mexican catering in Salford, from our food truck or trailer

Our drinks bar can serve margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with alcohol-free choices for drivers and children. We will check the licensing with you and your venue. We serve quesadillas, loaded nachos and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast, and it suits engagement parties and garden and marquee weddings.

Rural weddings around Salford have a charm of their own, and a food truck by the barn or marquee adds to it. Plan for access, soft ground and wet-weather cover for guests. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Organising for someone else?

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can check the date.

Catering for every guest

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Connect us with your coordinator
  • Count day and evening guests separately
  • Let us know about supplier meals
  • Check your date with us early

A taco bar is laid out on a table, and guests come up table by table if you like.

Extra salsas and toppings make the taco bar look generous.

What affects the price in Salford

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Distance and access to the venue
  • What the venue already provides
  • Timings and hours
  • Serving staff

There is no one-size-fits-all price for wedding Mexican catering. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

Details that help

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • The venue or postcode
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Salford: your questions answered

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Which station is closest to Salford?

Kingham station, about 3.9 miles south-west of the centre.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll confirm what’s included with your quote.

Can you cater the whole day?

Yes. We can do a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos for the evening.

Is the food made fresh?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

How big an event can you cater?

Truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will check the licensing with you.

Can you do gluten-free food?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

Should I do it myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Space, access and the venue

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A serving point within easy walk of the reception
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

How it compares

Compared with formal catering, a taco bar is relaxed and sociable, but it can still feel like a celebration. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What’s on the menu

Loaded nachos

A tray of nachos is easy to share.

Taco bar wedding breakfast

A taco bar makes a relaxed main meal. Fillings are agreed with you.

Step by step

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A photo of the space helps. Late-September weddings in Salford see the sun go down at about 7:10pm, which can put the evening food just after dusk. A late-May wedding keeps its light until roughly 9:00pm.

  1. We start with your date, venue, guest numbers and ideas for the day.
  2. We plan the food with you: wedding breakfast, evening food or both.
  3. We agree access, timings, power and water with you and your venue.
  4. On the day we set up and serve when your running order says.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
