About our wedding Mexican catering in Streatham

Wedding taco bars feel relaxed, generous and a little different. Everyone fills their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue becomes a chance to chat. For garden and marquee weddings and engagement parties at home, we will put together a menu of quesadillas, a taco bar for the wedding breakfast and burrito bowls.

Couples in Streatham often marry locally and hold the reception at a venue nearby. For a truck or trailer, the venue needs a courtyard, forecourt or car park we can drive into, so check vehicle access with the venue early. Parking and loading in London need planning, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Occasions we cater for in Streatham

Couples choose Mexican street food because it feels relaxed and generous, and because guests talk about it afterwards.

Whatever the occasion, our food truck or trailer can be the centre of it. We are happy to cater:

  • Food for evening guests
  • Sharing-style wedding meals
  • Day-after wedding get-togethers
  • Weddings with lots of dietary needs

Say your vows at a church like St Leonard's Church, then head to a garden, barn or marquee where the truck or trailer is waiting. We can set up while the photos are taken.

Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in Streatham

Which station should guests use for Streatham?

Streatham station, in Streatham itself.

Could you serve in Streatham Common?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

What happens if it rains?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

How big an event can you cater?

Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we will advise.

Can you plan for allergies?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Do you cook on site?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Where the truck can go in Streatham

We’ll agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first

In Streatham, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we offer

Diets, allergies and planning

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Ask whether your venue allows food trucks
  • Add your band and photographer to the numbers
  • Tell us when the speeches will be
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards

For a taco bar, fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests come up table by table if you like.

A wider choice of salsas and toppings fills out the taco bar.

Planners, venues and businesses

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

How it compares

Pizza and bacon rolls are common evening choices. Tacos and loaded nachos feel a bit more special. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.
