Wedding Mexican catering for Three Chimneys events

What happens on the day

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. Late-September weddings in Three Chimneys see the sun go down at about 7:00pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. In late May it stays light until about 8:50pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, day and evening numbers and your plans.
  2. We plan the food with you: wedding breakfast, evening food or both.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve the food at the agreed times.
  5. We pack down after service and leave our area tidy.

How our wedding Mexican catering works in Three Chimneys

Evening food needs to be quick and filling, and tacos or nachos from the truck or trailer do the job without stopping the dancing for long. On the menu are burrito bowls, tacos and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast, which works well for receptions after a small ceremony and weddings with mixed diets.

There’s something special about a country wedding near Three Chimneys, and a food truck by the barn or marquee adds to it. Plan for access, soft ground and wet-weather cover for guests. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Why choose wedding Mexican catering in Three Chimneys?

It works for the wedding breakfast, the evening, or both, so it is flexible.

If you are planning any of these, we can help:

  • Parties after a register office wedding
  • Garden and marquee weddings
  • Day-after wedding get-togethers
  • Sharing-style wedding meals

It helps to add rail details to the invitations, as Headcorn station is about 3.2 miles away.

What to look for in a quote

  • What the caterer needs from your venue
  • How late numbers can change
  • Exactly what’s included in the price
  • Where to see their hygiene rating

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
  • Plan a covered area for eating in case of rain
  • Tell us about guests with coeliac disease or severe allergies
  • Put us in touch with your venue

For a taco bar, fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests can be called up by table.

Add our drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you and your venue.

Is wedding Mexican catering right for your wedding?

Evening food is often pizza or bacon rolls. Evening tacos are something different. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What affects the price in Three Chimneys

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Timings and hours
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Getting an accurate quote

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The date and time of the event
  • The venue or postcode
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

The quickest way to a quote is to tell us about it on our contact page. Tell us about your wedding in Three Chimneys, and we’ll put together a menu and price.

Organising for someone else?

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Questions from Three Chimneys

Do you come out to small places like Three Chimneys?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

What’s the nearest station to Three Chimneys for guests?

Headcorn station, about 3.2 miles north of the centre.

What about power on site?

Tell us what the site has, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your event and menu. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

How much space do you need?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms, served alongside the meat options.
