Wedding Mexican catering for Twydall events

Wedding Mexican catering in Twydall, from our food truck or trailer

Wedding taco bars feel relaxed, generous and a little different. Everyone fills their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue becomes a chance to chat. It works well for big weddings with every diet and weddings in a marquee or garden, with evening tacos, burrito bowls and quesadillas.

A farm or garden wedding near Twydall suits a food truck. We need level ground and access, plus power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Prices and what affects them

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Parking and the route in
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Whether you need disposables
  • How many guests we’re serving

Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and time of the event
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Where the event is

It’s easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll send you a clear quote and a suggested menu.

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our food truck or trailer, and serve without fuss. At midsummer, sunset in Twydall is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September.

  1. We start with your date, venue, guest numbers and ideas for the day.
  2. We plan the food with you: wedding breakfast, evening food or both.
  3. We confirm access, the serving spot and the running order with the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue, around speeches and photos.
  5. Once service is done, we pack away quietly.

Getting ready for the day

  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

Twydall weddings: local tips

Twydall is about 1 mile east of Gillingham, in Medway. Give us the address of your wedding in Twydall, and we will plan the journey and set-up. We serve in 68 places across Medway, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. Our nearest city page is Canterbury, about 22 miles away.

Say your vows at a church like Holy Trinity Church, then head to a garden, barn or marquee where the truck or trailer is waiting. We can set up while the photos are taken. Put the station on your invitation: the nearest station is Rainham (Kent) station, about 1.2 miles south-east. A rural reception could be within reach, as the Kent Downs National Landscape is no more than about 8 miles from Twydall. Firm ground and a clear way in matter more than the view for a food truck.

For wedding Mexican catering in ME8 and ME7, we plan around your venue and the route in and your guests. Your wedding could be at a home on Pump Lane, Blean Road and Herne Road. Being close to the A2, Twydall is simple for us to get to. Nearby, we also cater weddings in Gillingham (1 mile west), Lower Twydall (1 mile north), Grange (1 mile north), Wigmore (1 mile south) and Darland (1 mile south-west). Within a short drive, we also cover Chatham (3 miles south-west), Rochester (4 miles west), Strood (5 miles west), Lordswood (3 miles south-west), Hoo St Werburgh (4 miles north) and Chatham Waterfront (3 miles west). As one of the bigger places in Medway, Twydall has lots of places to hold a wedding, though town-centre access for a truck or trailer needs planning.

Nearby you’ll also find Upnor Castle (3.4 miles north-west) and Six Poor Travellers House (3.7 miles west). Green spaces nearby include Bishop Saltings and Boxley Hills.

Twydall questions

Can you cater a reception after a service at Holy Trinity Church?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Riverside Country Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

What if the timings change?

We adapt. We keep in touch with your venue on the day and move the serving time if needed.

Who clears up?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we’ll talk it through.

Do you give allergen information?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Can you cater for all our guests’ diets?

Diets are planned in advance and kept separate. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the wedding.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll suggest the best set-up.

Can you come to a private house?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes.

Organising for someone else?

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Twydall? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

Should I do it myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Planning the serving area

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • A serving spot close to the marquee or reception area

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?
