Questions to ask before booking

Wedding Mexican catering for your wedding in Upper Wield

A food truck can make a colourful backdrop for photos, and guests enjoy seeing their food served fresh. For garden and marquee weddings and receptions after a small ceremony, we can serve burrito bowls, evening tacos and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast.

A wedding in a small place like Upper Wield often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Let us know about access, ground, power and water. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Should I do it myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Prices and what affects them

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • What’s on the menu
  • Food, drinks or both
  • The length of service
  • Parking and the route in

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for wedding Mexican catering. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • The date and time of the event
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will confirm whether we are available that day.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

Choosing between tacos and a traditional menu?, think about your venue, your guests’ diets and the feel of the day. Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

How it works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. A winter wedding in Upper Wield gets dark early, at about 4:00pm in December, so evening guests will be queuing in the dark. Ask your venue what outdoor lighting it has near where we’ll park.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, day and evening numbers and your plans.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. We agree access, timings, power and water with you and your venue.
  4. On the day we set up and serve when your running order says.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Preparing for the day

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

Questions from Upper Wield

Will you travel to a small place like Upper Wield?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St James?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms.

How much is a food truck for an event?

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.

How much space do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from. Read our taco bar guide.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus.

Do you have gluten-free options?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.
