How it works

Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we will help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. By late September, sunset in Wolverton is around 7:00pm, which can put the evening food just after dusk. In late May it stays light until about 8:45pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Food is served from the taco bar or the hatch.
  5. After serving, we clear away.

Before we arrive

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat

Wedding venues and access near Wolverton

Wolverton is about 3 miles west of Dover, in Kent. We cater weddings at gardens, halls and venues around Wolverton and nearby villages. We serve in all 922 towns and villages across Kent, from the larger towns to small villages. Our nearest city page is Canterbury, about 12 miles away.

Some couples near Wolverton might slip away to Dover Western Heights for a few photos between the ceremony and the meal. Say your vows at a church like Church of St Anthony the Martyr, then head to a garden, barn or marquee where the truck or trailer is waiting. A rural reception could be within reach, as the Kent Downs National Landscape is no more than about 6 miles from Wolverton. Firm ground and a clear way in matter more than the view for a food truck. Couples near the coast, within about 4 miles of Wolverton, sometimes want a beach feel. We need firm ground for the truck or trailer, so a clifftop lawn or venue car park may suit better than the sand.

This part of Kent takes in CT15, and we can cater your wedding anywhere in it with access for the truck or trailer. Streets in the area include Alkham Valley Road and Wolverton Hill, and a wedding on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. If your venue is just outside Wolverton, we also cover Ewell Minnis (1 mile north-west), Alkham (1 mile south-west), Chalksole Green (1 mile west), South Alkham (1 mile south-west) and Kearsney (1 mile east). We also cater in nearby towns such as Canterbury (12 miles north-west), Dover (3 miles east), Folkestone (5 miles south-west), Deal (8 miles north-east), Hythe (8 miles south-west) and Tower Hamlets (3 miles east).

Well-known places in the area include Dover Castle (3.8 miles east) and Crabble Corn Mill (1.9 miles east). Open spaces near Wolverton include Sugar Loaf Hill and Dover Western Heights.

Space, access and the venue

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A serving point within easy walk of the reception
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

What we offer

Questions to ask before booking

Common questions in Wolverton

Do you cater in villages like Wolverton?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Which station is closest to Wolverton?

Kearsney station, about 1.5 miles north-east of the centre.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

We confirm that with your quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we will talk it through.

How long do you serve for?

We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

Do you cater for suppliers?

Of course. Include suppliers in your numbers and we will plan for them.

How many guests can you serve?

Truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Add your band and photographer to the numbers
  • Check your date with us early
  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Share your running order, including speeches

On the day, we work with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you can enjoy yourselves.

A wider choice of salsas and toppings fills out the taco bar.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.
