About our Mexican catering in Brill

We plan each menu with the client, with fillings such as slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, alongside vegan choices such as black beans or spiced mushrooms. Popular choices include fresh salsas and guacamole, burritos and loaded nachos, and it is a good fit for wedding breakfasts and evening food and fundraisers and school events.

Somewhere as small as Brill, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we’ll plan for them, and soft ground after rain is worth mentioning. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

What’s on the menu

Salsas and guacamole

Every taco needs salsa and guacamole, and guests add as much as they like.

Burritos and burrito bowls

Burritos are filling and easy to eat on the move. The bowl version suits anyone avoiding tortillas.

How it compares

A drop-off platter is easy, but nobody remembers it. Hot food served from a truck feels like part of the event. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

What you get with us

  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Allergen information for every dish
  • A menu agreed with you

How it works

Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our truck or trailer, and serve without fuss. Evenings in Brill stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:10pm. Festoon lights or floodlights help once it gets dark.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.

What affects the price in Brill

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • How many staff you need
  • What the venue already provides
  • Guest numbers
  • What’s on the menu

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Getting an accurate quote

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

Still deciding on the menu? No problem: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll suggest a menu. When you are ready, use our quote form.

People like choosing their own toppings, and a taco bar soon becomes a talking point.

A truck or trailer suits almost any gathering. People in Brill can book us for events such as:

  • School fairs and fundraisers
  • Retirement and leaving parties
  • Summer garden parties
  • Family celebrations

Guests leaving a church like United Reformed Church after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready.

  • The deadline for final numbers
  • What happens if it rains
  • Whether VAT is included
  • Where to see their hygiene rating

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Should I do it myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

FAQs for Brill

How far is Brill from central London?

It’s about 47 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you cater a reception after a service at United Reformed Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

What do you need at the venue?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

Our service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case.

Can you serve in bad weather?

We can still serve in the rain. Plan a marquee, gazebo or indoor space for guests to eat in.

Is the food made fresh?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

How much does Mexican catering cost?

We quote for each event, depending on numbers, menu, venue and timings. For a price, send us your details through our quote form.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
