Mexican catering near Broad Oak

Mexican catering in Broad Oak, served fresh

Keep it simple or go further: tacos on their own, or tacos with burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can come from our drinks bar. For retirement and leaving parties and weddings, day or evening, we can serve quesadillas, a build-your-own taco bar and burritos.

In a small place like Broad Oak, events are usually in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer.

How it works

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we have agreed, planned around your event. Around midsummer it stays light in Broad Oak until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our food truck or trailer.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

How to prepare

  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Working with your venue

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

The menu, item by item

Salsas and guacamole

Salsas and guacamole, made fresh for your event.

Tacos

Tacos are the classic street food of Mexico. They come with fresh salsas and toppings, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.

Can I do a taco night myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Broad Oak questions

Could you serve in Chequer's Wood and Old Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

Could you come to a seaside event near Broad Oak?

Yes, as long as the site allows it and the ground is firm. Seafront and beach spots typically need permission, and wind is the main thing to plan for.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Can you come to a private house?

Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Send us a picture of the access and the space, and we will tell you honestly whether it works.

How long are you on site?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.

What’s on the menu?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Can you cater for special diets?

Yes. There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

Can we add a bar?

We can. The drinks bar offers margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and alcohol-free drinks. Licensing is checked with you first.

We cover 922 places in Kent, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in.

Guests leaving a church like St Nicholas' Church after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready. Thinking of an event in Chequer's Wood and Old Park?
