Mexican catering in Brook

Perfect for your event in Brook

Mixed diets are easy to plan for, because guests choose their own fillings and toppings. Vegetarian and vegan guests get a proper meal, not an afterthought.

If you are planning any of these, we can help:

  • Charity and school events
  • Office lunches and team days
  • Weddings and evening receptions
  • Summer garden parties

Guests leaving a church like St. Mary's Church after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready.

What to look for in a quote

  • Travel and parking costs
  • If the price includes VAT
  • A food hygiene rating you can check
  • How each diet is kept separate

Questions to ask before you book

About our Mexican catering in Brook

Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Larger festivals and smaller parties are looked at case by case, so tell us your numbers. It works well for engagement celebrations and fundraisers and school events, serving tacos, loaded nachos and quesadillas.

Somewhere as small as Brook, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Step by step

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, planned around your event. A December event in Brook will be in the dark from about 4:05pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Start by telling us about your event.
  2. We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve from the hatch.
  5. Once service ends, we clear away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in

Brook: your questions answered

Can you cater a reception after a service at St. Mary's Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Will you travel to a small place like Brook?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?

Yes. We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Can you serve in bad weather?

Rain does not stop service from the hatch. Have somewhere covered ready for guests.

How long are you on site?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

What Mexican catering costs

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • The menu you choose
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Distance and access to the venue

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

What we need to know

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Your menu ideas
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and time of the event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

We quote for each event separately, based on what you need. To ask for one, fill in our quote form.

Popular choices

Quesadillas

Tortillas filled with melted cheese and a filling, toasted until crisp, cut into wedges.

Build-your-own taco bar

Fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings laid out for guests to help themselves, with warm tortillas to fill. Each guest makes tacos their way.

Before you choose a spot

We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer

Brook is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

How it compares

Cold buffets are easy, but the food sits out. Tacos and burritos are made to order and served hot. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
  • Mention any other caterers or courses

We can still serve from the hatch if it rains, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter or as a late snack.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.
