Mexican catering in Ryde, served fresh

Mobile Mexican catering means the kitchen comes to you: we park our truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. You don’t need a kitchen at the venue. It works well for weddings and evening receptions and office lunches and team days, serving tacos, quesadillas and fresh salsas and guacamole.

There are lots of options in a town like Ryde: your own garden or drive, a club or hall with a car park, or a venue nearby. We’ll agree where we park beforehand. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Step by step

We get there well before you want to serve, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. A December event in Ryde will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. We serve hot food from our food truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. We pack away when service is over.

Before we arrive

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to talk to us before the event

We arrive early enough to set up calmly. Someone from the venue just needs to point us to the agreed spot.

Extra salsas and toppings can widen the choice.

Who books Mexican catering in Ryde?

Guests enjoy building their own plate, and a taco bar soon becomes a talking point while they queue.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Garden parties
  • Birthday parties
  • Engagement celebrations
  • Office lunches and team days

Guests leaving a church like All Saints' Church after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready.

What your quote should include

  • A clear list of what’s included
  • The wet-weather plan
  • The deposit and payment dates
  • How dietary needs and allergies are handled

Our caterer checklist

Organising for someone else?

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

Space, access and the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

For somewhere as remote as Ryde, early notice helps us plan the trip, the route in and power.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

What Mexican catering costs

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • The menu you choose
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • How many staff you need
  • Parking and the route in

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

What to tell us

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

The quickest way to a quote is to tell us about it on our contact page. Give us the details of your event, and we will suggest a menu to suit.

How it compares

For food that feels relaxed but generous, a taco bar or a menu of tacos, burritos and nachos is hard to beat for your event in Ryde. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Ryde questions

Which station is closest to Ryde?

Guests can use Ryde St Johns Road station, which is right in Ryde.

Can you cater a reception after a service at All Saints' Church?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you cater in Ryde?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Ryde is within our area. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

What access do you need?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

Are plates and napkins included?

Ask us when you enquire. Let us know what you already have, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we will talk it through.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Send us a photo and we’ll talk it through.

How many guests can you cater for?

That depends on the event. As a guide, it is around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we’ll take it from there.
