Mexican catering for Caring events

Mexican catering for your event in Caring

We slow-cook the fillings ahead and finish them on site, and the salsas and guacamole are freshly made. Tortillas are warmed as we serve. Popular choices include fresh salsas and guacamole, tacos and burritos, and it’s a good fit for anniversaries and engagements and company summer parties.

For a rural spot like Caring, fields and drives need a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Working with your venue

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Why choose Mexican catering in Caring?

Platters dropped off in the morning are easy but forgettable. Live service from a truck or trailer gives guests hot food and something to talk about. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What you get with us

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Quoted for your event
  • A plan agreed before the day

See our pricing or our guide to catering costs.

What happens on the day

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a photo of the space if you’re unsure. Around midsummer it stays light in Caring until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Start by telling us about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.

Preparing for the day

What Mexican catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Parking and the route in
  • Timings and hours

Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Confirm the venue is happy to have a catering vehicle

Allergen information is on hand for every dish, and guests are welcome to ask before ordering.

Burrito bowls are a good choice for anyone avoiding tortillas.

If a space is not suitable, we’ll tell you, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Catering an event in Caring

Caring is about 3 miles east of Maidstone, in Kent. Tell us where your event in Caring will be, and we’ll plan the journey and set-up before the day. Caring is one of 922 towns and villages in Kent we cover. We cater right across the region, from Caring to Canterbury (about 21 miles away).

When the service is at a church such as St Nicholas's Church, the food normally happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. Guests arriving by train will find that Bearsted station is about 1.5 miles away. With the Kent Downs National Landscape about 3 miles away at most, a rural setting is never far from Caring. Country lanes there can be narrow and verges soft, so tell us about the route in.

Mexican catering in ME17 is planned around your venue and access. We can cater an event on streets such as Caring Lane and Caring Road or the roads around them. If your venue is just outside Caring, we also cover Otham (1 mile south-west), Bearsted (1 mile north-west), Langley (1 mile south), Langley Heath (1 mile south) and Willington (2 miles west). DIY taco night or a caterer?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

FAQs for Caring

Is Caring close to London?

About 34 miles from central London.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Nicholas's Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

We park our truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.

How many guests can you cater for?

Truck and trailer service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a photo of the space and the way in.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we do. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. We will check the licensing for alcohol with you.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Can you set up at our venue?

Tell us about the venue and the way in, and we will check it works. Space for a queue and, if you choose one, a taco-bar table helps too.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
