Mexican catering for Cosham events

Prices and what affects them

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • How many staff you need
  • How many guests we’re serving

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • The venue or postcode
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

Mexican catering for your event in Cosham

Every menu is agreed with you, so fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, alongside vegan choices such as black beans or spiced mushrooms. For garden parties and milestone birthdays, we’ll put together a menu of tacos, burrito bowls and burritos.

In a smaller place like Cosham, your own garden, drive or a local hall is often the simplest option: no venue to hire and no cooking for you. Let us know about the route to the house. Your quote sets out what’s included: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Questions from Cosham

Which station should guests use for Cosham?

Cosham station, in Cosham itself.

How far is Cosham from central London?

Roughly 62 miles from the centre of London.

Do you serve in the rain?

Rain does not stop service from the hatch. Plan a marquee, gazebo or indoor space for guests to eat in.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, including Cosham.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Do you clear up afterwards?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

It depends on the event. As a guide, it is around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we’ll plan around them.

How does mobile Mexican catering work?

We arrive with our own mobile kitchen. We set up at your venue, serve hot food to order and pack down afterwards.

Comparing your options

Platters dropped off in the morning are easy but forgettable. Live service from a truck or trailer gives guests hot food and something to talk about. Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

Why book with us

  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • A clear quote
  • Menus for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests

Read our prices page or what Mexican catering costs.

The process

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. Around midsummer it stays light in Cosham until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:00pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. First, send us a few details about your event.
  2. We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve from the hatch.
  5. Once service ends, we clear away.

How to prepare

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

Questions to ask before you book

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

What we need at the venue

Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours when you contact us. Generally, we look for:

  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table
  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
