Mexican catering in Eridge Green, served fresh

Tacos are the heart of the menu: warm tortillas with your choice of fillings, plus fresh salsas, guacamole and toppings. We can add burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas. It suits retirement and leaving parties and weddings, day or evening, with loaded nachos, burritos and tacos.

Somewhere as small as Eridge Green, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Working with your venue

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Events we cater in Eridge Green

There is no kitchen needed at the venue, so it works in gardens, fields and grounds without catering facilities.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:

  • Leaving parties
  • Christenings and family parties
  • Summer garden parties
  • Festivals, fairs and markets

Nearby historic houses include Groombridge Place (1.9 miles north-west). Estates and historic houses tend to set their own rules for caterers, so find out what yours allows first.

Before you book anyone

  • Any travel, parking or access charges
  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all
  • VAT, if it applies
  • A food hygiene rating you can check

Eridge Green questions

Is it possible to have you in Eridge Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Holy Trinity Church?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll suggest the best set-up.

What’s on the menu?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Do you come to Eridge Green?

Yes, we do. We serve at events in Eridge Green and across Kent. Send us your date to check availability.

Do you have vegan options?

Of course. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

Can you serve in the rain?

Rain doesn’t generally stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Is the food made fresh?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

What we need at the venue

Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours before we confirm. Generally, we look for:

  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before booking.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Mexican catering or something else?

Platters dropped off in the morning are easy but forgettable. Live service from a truck or trailer gives guests hot food and something to talk about. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.

Why book with us

  • Served fresh from our food truck or trailer
  • Quoted for your event
  • Menus chosen with you
  • We cover Eridge Green and the whole of Kent

Read our pricing and our guide to catering costs.

Step by step

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. Around midsummer it stays light in Eridge Green until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we will park.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.

Before we arrive

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Ask the venue about power and water
