Mexican catering for Funtington events

Loaded nachos

Loaded nachos are perfect for sharing. We can plan a dairy-free version.

How our Mexican catering works in Funtington

Few things get guests chatting like a build-your-own taco bar. Guests fill their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, so each plate is exactly how they like it. It suits leaving dos and retirement parties and weddings, day or evening, with quesadillas, burrito bowls and burritos.

Somewhere as small as Funtington, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. Your quote sets out what’s included: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Step by step

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. In Funtington, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. Once everyone has eaten, we tidy our serving area and head off.

Organising for someone else?

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Funtington? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Dietary needs and planning tips

We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To get it right:

  • Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Let us know about any other food at the event
  • Put any allergies in writing for us

Allergen information is on hand for every dish.

Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff and we’ll set out what we can do in your quote.

Before you choose a spot

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Why choose Mexican catering in Funtington?

A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. Our food truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Why book with us

  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • Quoted for your event
  • A menu agreed with you
  • Allergen information for everything we serve

Read our pricing or our guide to catering costs.

What Mexican catering costs

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • The length of service
  • Parking and the route in
  • What the venue already provides
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food

There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

What to tell us

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Where the event is
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • What power and water the site has

Still deciding on the menu? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll make suggestions. When you’re ready, use our quote form.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Funtington

Which station should guests use for Funtington?

Guests can use Nutbourne station, about 1.8 miles south-west of Funtington.

We are having a ceremony at The Parish Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How soon do we need to book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

Do you need power and water?

It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

What do you need at the venue?

Level, firm ground, access for the truck or trailer and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water when you book.

Can you cater for children?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will confirm what’s included with your quote.

What if it rains?

We serve from the truck or trailer whatever the weather, though guests need a covered place to eat.
