Book Mexican catering in Highleigh

Organising for someone else?

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

How our Mexican catering works in Highleigh

Few things get guests chatting like a build-your-own taco bar. Guests fill their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, so nobody ends up with something they don’t want. We serve burrito bowls, quesadillas and burritos, and it is a good fit for big birthday celebrations and fundraisers and school events.

In a rural place like Highleigh, access is the main thing to plan: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. You’ll know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

What Mexican catering costs

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Serving staff

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

What to tell us

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you’re ready, use our quote form.

Where the truck can go in Highleigh

We’ll be honest if a space won’t work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Popular choices

  • Quesadillas
  • Tacos
  • Loaded nachos
  • Build-your-own taco bar
  • Burritos
  • Burrito bowls

Highleigh: your questions answered

Will you travel to a small place like Highleigh?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Is Highleigh close to London?

Roughly 59 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

What’s on the menu?

We agree the menu with each client, with fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria or spiced mushrooms. Take a look at the sample menu.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll include them in the plan.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

DIY taco night or a caterer?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

How the day works

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. A December event in Highleigh will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. First, send us a few details about your event.
  2. We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve from the hatch.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll suggest a menu. When you’re ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like St Mary Our Lady Sidlesham, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal. The truck or trailer needs firm ground rather than sand or shingle, and seafront spots typically need permission from the council or landowner.
