How our Mexican catering works in Kingston

Mobile Mexican catering means the kitchen comes to you: our truck or trailer parks at your venue and we serve hot food straight from the hatch. You do not need a kitchen at the venue. At anniversaries and engagements and milestone birthdays, we will put together a menu of loaded nachos, burrito bowls and quesadillas for your guests.

Somewhere like Kingston, a field or garden is often the setting. Mention gates and soft ground when you get in touch. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Planning a food truck in Kingston

Kingston is about 5 miles south-east of Canterbury, in Kent. Tell us where your event in Kingston will be, and we will plan the journey and set-up before the day. Kingston is one of 922 towns and villages in Kent we cover.

Nearby historic houses include Goodnestone Park (3.8 miles north-east). Venues like these often limit where vehicles can go, so ask about access before you book one. Guests arriving by train will find that Adisham station is about 2.7 miles away. With the Kent Downs National Landscape about 5 miles away at most, a rural setting is never far from Kingston. Country lanes there can be narrow and verges soft, so tell us about the route in.

We cater events across CT4. From The Street, Church Lane and Covet Lane or anywhere nearby, we’ll plan where to park and serve. Neighbouring places where we cater events include Out Elmstead (1 mile south-east), Barham (1 mile south-east), Marley (1 mile south-west), Bishopsbourne (1 mile north-west) and Derringstone (1 mile south). Further out, we also cater in Ashford (13 miles south-west), Canterbury (5 miles north-west), Margate (15 miles north-east), Dover (9 miles south-east), Folkestone (9 miles south) and Ramsgate (14 miles north-east).

Nearby you’ll also find Kent and Canterbury Hospital (4.2 miles north-west).

  • Nearby, you’ll find Black Robin Public House (within half a mile south-east)

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Food, drinks or both
  • How many staff you need
  • What the venue already provides
  • Guest numbers

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What to tell us

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Expected numbers
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Why choose Mexican catering in Kingston?

Guests enjoy building their own plate, and a taco bar soon becomes a talking point while they queue.

We can help if you are planning any of the following:

  • Summer garden parties
  • School fairs and fundraisers
  • Leaving parties
  • Office lunches and team days

If you’re organising a summer fair for a school like Barham Church of England Primary School, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser.

What your quote should include

  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all
  • How long the service runs
  • When payment is due
  • Allergen information for each dish

How to compare caterers

The menu, item by item

Quesadillas

A quesadilla is an easy favourite, and they go down well with children.

Salsas and guacamole

Guacamole and salsas, freshly made.

How it works

Here’s how the day typically runs: we park up and get ready, we open the hatch when you are ready, and your guests are served fresh for the agreed time. Around midsummer it stays light in Kingston until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening events are usually served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our truck or trailer.
  5. When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site

Your questions about Mexican catering in Kingston

Is Kingston close to London?

About 57 miles from central London, and we cover it.

What’s the nearest station to Kingston for guests?

Guests can use Adisham station, about 2.7 miles north-east of Kingston.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

What are your prices?

Every event is quoted for individually, depending on numbers, menu, venue and timings. For a price, tell us about it on our contact page.

What’s on the menu?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll suggest mild options.

How big an event can you cater?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Can you cater for special diets?

Yes. There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. We give allergen information for every dish.

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

Cold buffets are easy, but the food sits out. Our food is served hot, one order at a time. Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

Why us?

  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Access, space and power checked in advance

  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
  • Include at least one vegan filling

If timings change on the day, tell us and we’ll adjust.
