Mexican catering for your event in Nuptown

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: our truck or trailer parks at your venue and we serve hot food straight from the hatch. You don’t need a kitchen at the venue. At family gatherings and christenings and office lunches and team days, we can serve burrito bowls, burritos and fresh salsas and guacamole.

For a rural spot like Nuptown, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Nuptown

Is Nuptown close to London?

It is about 27 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Michael and All Angels?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect.

Can you cater for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan the menu with them in mind.

What about power on site?

Tell us what the site has, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

Truck and trailer service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

We bring our food truck or trailer to your venue, cook to order and serve tacos, burritos and more from the hatch. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.

Catering for every guest

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early
  • Let us know about any other food at the event

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away, leaving the space as we found it.

Quesadillas go down well with children, because they’re simple.

Before you choose a spot

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we offer

  • Build-your-own taco bar
  • Quesadillas
  • Tacos
  • Burritos
  • Loaded nachos
  • Burrito bowls

The process

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we have agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. Evenings in Nuptown stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. Festoon lights or floodlights help once it gets dark.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. Once everyone has eaten, we tidy our serving area and head off.

How to prepare

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Tell us what power and water the site has

Questions to ask before booking

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.
