Mexican catering in Hawthorn Hill, from our truck or trailer

The menu starts with tacos: warm tortillas with your choice of fillings, plus fresh salsas, guacamole and toppings. Burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas can sit alongside them. For weddings, day or evening and leaving parties, we’ll put together a menu of fresh salsas and guacamole, burritos and a build-your-own taco bar for your guests.

For a rural spot like Hawthorn Hill, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Planning help

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Organising for someone else?

Organising a club, school or community event in Hawthorn Hill? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Hawthorn Hill questions

Which station should guests use for Hawthorn Hill?

Guests can use Bracknell station, about 3.2 miles south of Hawthorn Hill.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Michael and All Angels?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will go through the licensing with you.

Can you keep it mild?

We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

What are your prices?

We quote for each event, based on guest numbers, the menu, the venue and timings. Contact us for a quote.

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

What food and drinks do you offer?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Confirm the venue is happy to have a catering vehicle
  • Mention any other caterers or courses
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away, leaving the space as we found it.

Burrito bowls are a good choice for anyone avoiding tortillas, and they’re easy to adapt for different diets.

What Mexican catering costs

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • The number of people
  • What the venue already provides
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there is no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Getting an accurate quote

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Your menu ideas
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • The date and rough timings

Not sure what you need yet? No problem: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll suggest a menu. When you’re ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

Mexican catering or something else?

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. Our food truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before booking.
