Mexican catering in Wallend, served fresh

A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Guests fill their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, so nobody ends up with something they do not want. At fairs and festivals and school fairs and fundraisers, we’ll put together a menu of burritos, fresh salsas and guacamole and a build-your-own taco bar and more.

Around Wallend, parking and loading are the main things to plan for a truck or trailer. Narrow streets and permit bays decide where we can stop, so tell us about a driveway, a courtyard or whether a parking suspension is needed when you ask for a quote. All of Greater London, Wallend included, is inside the ULEZ. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Comparing your options

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. Our food truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

What you get with us

  • A menu agreed with you
  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • A clear quote
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch

Common questions in Wallend

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Loxford Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Which station is closest to Wallend?

The closest is Barking station, roughly 0.9 miles away.

Can you set up at our venue?

We need level, firm ground or hardstanding, access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s permission. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

How big an event can you cater?

Truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

Can you serve in the rain?

Rain doesn’t generally stop service from the truck or trailer. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Do you give allergen information?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Step by step

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. A December event in Wallend will be in the dark from about 3:50pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Diets, allergies and planning

Every guest is catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included. To make it work smoothly:

  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event

Food is served from the hatch, order by order, so it is hot when it reaches them.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can be added from our drinks bar.

Prices and what affects them

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • How many staff you need
  • The menu you choose
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • How long we are needed on site

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Where the event is
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A photo of the space, if it’s a garden or field
  • Your menu ideas

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. To ask for one, use our quote form.

Before you choose a spot

We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table
  • Permission from the venue or landowner

In Wallend, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before you book.
