Mexican street food makes mixed diets simple. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, and allergen information is available for every dish. It works well for family celebrations and markets and community events, serving a build-your-own taco bar, burrito bowls and fresh salsas and guacamole.

Your timings come first. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, let us know and we will adjust where we can.

  1. Start by telling us about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.

Around East Ham

Other local landmarks include Langdon School (0.5 miles north-east), St Michael's Catholic Primary School (under half a mile north-east) and Beckton District Park (1 mile south-west). East Ham’s nearest station is Barking station, about 1.3 miles north-east. Nearby you will also find The Who Shop Museum (within half a mile north) and County Borough of West Ham (2.5 miles west). Mexican catering across E6: what to know

From Plaistow, Canning Town and Barking to 3 villages and hamlets, events across E6 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and a truck or trailer suits most settings with access and level ground. In towns, plan parking and loading; in villages, tell us about lanes, gates and ground.

East Ham: A school such as St Michael's Catholic Primary School running a summer fair or fundraiser could book a taco truck. Around East Ham, historic houses include Eastbury Manor House (1.9 miles east) and Valentines Mansion (3 miles north). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on outside caterers and vehicles early. Winter evenings in East Ham close in by about 3:50pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

Before you choose a spot

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but there are a few things to check:

  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Put any allergies in writing for us
  • Make sure the menu has a vegan option

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away.

Add our Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

What Mexican catering costs

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Timings and hours
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Food, drinks or both

Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

The quickest way to a quote is to drop us a line using the enquiry form. Give us the details of your event, and we’ll suggest a menu to suit.

Organising for someone else?

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

E6 questions

How long are you on site?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. The length of service is agreed when you book.

Can you set up at our venue?

We need level, firm ground or hardstanding, access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s permission. We confirm power and water when you book.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

How does mobile Mexican catering work?

We bring our food truck or trailer to your venue, cook to order and serve tacos, burritos and more from the hatch. A build-your-own taco bar is another option.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we will talk it through.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will go through the licensing with you.

Do you need power and water?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
