About our Mexican catering in Wickham Heath

We plan each menu with the client, so fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, and vegan options like spiced mushrooms or black beans. Popular choices include burrito bowls, quesadillas and burritos, and it is a good fit for christenings and family parties and birthday parties.

For a rural spot like Wickham Heath, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

What happens on the day

Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our truck or trailer, and get on with serving. In Wickham Heath, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our truck or trailer.
  5. Once everyone has eaten, we tidy our serving area and head off.

How to prepare

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve

Can I do a taco night myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Catering for every guest

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. A few tips:

  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early

On the day, we arrive in good time to park up and get ready. All we need is someone to show us the agreed spot.

Extra salsas and toppings can widen the choice.

Wickham Heath: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Wickham Heath?

The closest is Kintbury station, roughly 2.7 miles away.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Parish Church of St Andrew?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.

What if it rains?

We serve from the truck or trailer whatever the weather, but guests will need somewhere covered to eat.

Can you serve drinks as well?

We can. Our Mexican drinks bar serves margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. We will talk licensing through with you.

How is the food prepared?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

Can you cater in a back garden?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a picture and we’ll talk it through.

Do you cover Wickham Heath?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Wickham Heath and the rest of West Berkshire. To check your date, tell us about it on our contact page.
