Mexican bar hire in Jordans

Mexican bar hire in Jordans, from our truck or trailer

Soft drinks and alcohol-free choices are always part of the bar, so drivers and non-drinkers are not left with tap water. It suits company summer parties and festivals and fairs, with aguas frescas, agua de jamaica and soft drinks.

In a rural spot like Jordans, drinks can be served from our food truck or trailer in a garden, field or by a marquee, given access. Licensing for alcohol is checked with you beforehand. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before booking.

How the day works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. At midsummer, it is light in Jordans until about 9:25pm, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. By late September, sunset is about 7:05pm, and in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so plan lighting around the bar.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We go through the licensing with you.
  3. You choose the drinks with us.
  4. Our bar staff serve your guests at the agreed times.
  5. We pack down when the bar closes.

Who books Mexican bar hire in Jordans?

We talk licensing through with you.

Big or small, a truck or trailer works well. Common bookings include:

  • Big birthday celebrations
  • Licensed festivals
  • Engagement and anniversary parties
  • Launch parties

Nearby historic houses include Chenies Manor House (5 miles north-east). Before booking a historic venue, find out whether it lets an outside bar bring a vehicle on site.

What your quote should include

  • Space, access, power and water needs
  • Exactly what’s included in the price
  • What happens if it rains
  • Travel and parking costs

Planners, venues and businesses

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Comparing your options

DIY drinks tables are easy but need constant topping up. A staffed bar keeps everything under control. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Why us?

  • Allergen-aware menus
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • A clear quote

Take a look at our prices page and the cost guide.

Prices and what affects them

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • What’s on the menu
  • What the venue already provides

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Expected numbers
  • The date and time of the event
  • What power and water the site has
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, use our quote form.

Jordans: venues, access and licensing

Jordans is about 2 miles east of Beaconsfield, in Buckinghamshire. Events in Jordans are planned around your venue and timings: a clear quote, agreed timings and fresh service on the day. We cover 263 places in Buckinghamshire, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. You can also see our page for Reading, about 20 miles away.

Guests travelling by rail: the nearest station is Seer Green & Jordans station, about 0.6 miles south-west. A drinks bar at a garden or hall near a church like Church of Holy Trinity gives guests something to enjoy while photos are taken. An outdoor bar near the Chilterns National Landscape, within about 8 miles of Jordans, needs firm ground and a way in, plus the right licensing, which we’ll check with you.

For Mexican bar hire in HP9, we plan around your venue and the route in. Streets in the area include Green West Road, Seer Green Lane and Crutches Lane, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. If your venue is just outside Jordans, we also cover Chalfont St Giles (2 miles north-east), Chalfont St Peter (2 miles east), Chalfont Common (2 miles east) and Horn Hill (3 miles east). Should I do it myself?

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Jordans: your questions answered

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of Holy Trinity?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

What’s the nearest station to Jordans for guests?

Guests can use Seer Green & Jordans station, about 0.6 miles south-west of Jordans.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Are plates and napkins included?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Do you follow the rules on serving alcohol?

Responsible serving comes first: alcohol-free drinks for under-18s, with water and alcohol-free choices on hand.

What if the weather’s bad?

Rain doesn’t typically stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will talk licensing through with you.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
