What Mexican bar hire costs

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • What the venue already provides
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Staff for serving and the bar

Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What we need to know

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • A photo of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Expected numbers
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

Mexican bar hire or something else?

Non-drinkers often get only soft drinks. Aguas frescas give them something special. What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why us?

  • A menu built around your guests
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • Menus for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests

What we need at the venue

If a space is not suitable, we’ll tell you. The main points are:

  • Details of power and water on site
  • Vehicle access near the bar
  • The venue’s permission for an outside bar

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

Planning a drinks bar in Lightwater

Lightwater is about 3 miles east of Camberley, in Surrey. Give us the address of your event in Lightwater, and we’ll plan access and set-up. We cater in 395 places across Surrey, from the larger towns to small villages. We cater right across the region, from Lightwater to Guildford (about 8 miles away).

A drinks bar at a garden or hall near a church like All Saints gives guests something to enjoy while photos are taken. A gathering in Brentmoor Heath? Check the park’s rules first, as alcohol and vehicles typically need permission.

Anywhere in GU18 and GU19, we can bring Mexican bar hire to you, from busy streets to quiet lanes. Streets in the area include Ambleside Road, Ridgeway Close and Shrublands Drive, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. Nearby, we also cater events in Donkey Town (1 mile south-east), Bagshot (1 mile north-west), Windlesham (1 mile north-east), Lucas Green (2 miles south-east) and West End (2 miles south-east). We also cater in nearby towns such as Guildford (8 miles south-east), Woking (5 miles south-east), Camberley (3 miles west), Farnham (11 miles south-west), Egham (8 miles north-east) and Walton-on-Thames (12 miles east).

How the day works

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A photo of the space helps. A late-September party in Lightwater loses the light at about 7:05pm, so a bar running later in the evening needs lamps or festoons. A late-May event keeps its daylight until about 8:55pm.

  1. Send us your date, venue, numbers and drinks ideas.
  2. We talk through licensing with you, whether that’s the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice.
  3. You get a suggested drinks menu and a quote.
  4. On the day, our bar staff serve drinks responsibly at the agreed times.
  5. After service, we clear the bar away.

Preparing for the day

  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

Lightwater: your questions answered

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Brentmoor Heath?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we will provide what they ask for from us.

We are having a ceremony at All Saints: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

What happens if it rains?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

What do you need at the venue?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Who handles the licensing?

Alcohol at an event needs the venue’s premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We will check the licensing with you. GOV.UK explains Temporary Event Notices.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
