How our Mexican bar hire works in Princelett

Alcohol at an event needs the right licence: either the venue’s premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We’ll check the licensing with you. It works well for work celebrations and end-of-year parties, serving horchata, alcohol-free drinks and soft drinks.

In a rural spot like Princelett, drinks can be served from our food truck or trailer in a garden, field or by a marquee, as long as we can get in. Licensing for alcohol is checked with you beforehand. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so set-up goes smoothly.

What happens on the day

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. A photo of the space helps. By late September, sunset in Princelett comes at roughly 7:10pm, so a bar running later in the evening needs lamps or festoons. A late-May event keeps its daylight until about 8:55pm.

  1. We check availability.
  2. You get a suggested drinks list.
  3. We confirm power, water and the bar spot.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. We tidy up at the end.

Drinks planning tips

To get the most from the bar, it helps to:

  • Plan transport home for guests
  • Collect allergy details in advance
  • Share bar opening times
  • Add food if the bar runs for a while

Responsible serving comes first: under-18s are not served alcohol, and nor is anyone who has had too much.

Add our Mexican catering for tacos, burritos and nachos.

Is Mexican bar hire right for your event?

Wine and fizz are classic but expected. Margaritas and Mexican beer feel more relaxed. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What you get with us

Working with your venue

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

FAQs for Princelett

Do you cater at coastal events near Princelett?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades normally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Do you come out to small places like Princelett?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you plan for allergies?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

What’s on the menu?

Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

What drinks do you serve?

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, plus soft drinks. The drinks list is agreed with you.

Do you serve responsibly?

Our bar staff serve responsibly: under-18s get alcohol-free drinks only, with water and alcohol-free choices on hand.

Do you have a licence to sell alcohol?

Alcohol at an event needs the venue’s premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We go through the licensing with you before the day. GOV.UK explains Temporary Event Notices.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Send us a photo of the access and the space, and we will tell you honestly whether it works.

What Mexican bar hire costs

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • The length of service
  • What’s on the menu
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Distance and access to the venue

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Getting an accurate quote

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The date and rough timings
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Your menu ideas
  • A picture of where we’d park

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, send a quick message through our quote form.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Before you choose a spot

We serve from a truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Vehicle access near the bar
  • A premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice in place
  • A flat, firm spot for the bar

For somewhere as remote as Princelett, early notice helps us plan the trip, the route in and power.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.
