Mexican bar hire near Thame
Mexican bar hire in Thame, from our food truck or trailer
Aguas frescas are Mexico’s fresh fruit and flower drinks: hibiscus agua de jamaica, horchata, tamarind and fruit waters. They’re alcohol-free, so every guest can enjoy them. Popular choices include Mexican beer, soft drinks and aguas frescas, and it is a good fit for end-of-year and Christmas parties and taco nights and themed parties.
A Mexican drinks bar works for parties and receptions in Thame. We need a level spot for the truck or trailer and the venue’s permission, and we’ll go through the licensing with you. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Should I do it myself?
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.
For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.
Comparing your options
Some bars offer little for non-drinkers. Aguas frescas give them something special. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Thame questions
Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the Chilterns National Landscape?
Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.
We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?
Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Do you have a licence to sell alcohol?
That depends on your venue. Some venues have a premises licence; others need a Temporary Event Notice. We talk it through with you.
How much space do you need?
A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.
Is the food made fresh?
Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.
How long are you on site?
We get there well before service to set up. The length of service is agreed when you book.
Do you take everything away?
We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.
What happens if it rains?
We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.

Step by step
The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. In December, the light goes in Thame at about 3:55pm, so plan where guests will gather, and how it will be lit. At midsummer, by contrast, sunset is around 9:25pm.
