What’s on the menu

Horchata

A sweet, creamy rice drink with cinnamon.

Soft drinks

There’s always something alcohol-free.

Should I do it myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Eastleigh questions

How far is Eastleigh from central London?

Roughly 65 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it.

Could you serve in Lakeside Country Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.

How is the food prepared?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, we can. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll include them in the plan.

How much is a food truck for an event?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Contact us for a quote.

Do you serve responsibly?

Responsible serving comes first: alcohol-free drinks for under-18s, and we offer water and alcohol-free choices throughout.

Do you bring staff to serve the drinks?

We bring bar staff.

What do you serve?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings might include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

What Mexican bar hire costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Timings and hours
  • The menu you choose
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Staff for serving and the bar

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Getting an accurate quote

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • The venue or postcode
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we will confirm whether we are available that day.

Planning a drinks bar in Eastleigh

Eastleigh is about 4 miles north-east of Southampton, in Hampshire. Give us the address of your event in Eastleigh, and we will plan the journey and set-up. Eastleigh is one of 683 places in Hampshire where we can bring Mexican bar hire.

A gathering in Lakeside Country Park? Check the park’s rules first, as alcohol and vehicles normally need permission. Anyone leaving the car at home will want to know that Eastleigh station is in Eastleigh itself. The coast is within about 6 miles of Eastleigh. Wind, sand and the rules on alcohol in public places all need planning for a seaside bar.

Mexican bar hire in SO50, SO30, SO31 and SO19 is planned around your venue and access. Local streets include Market Street, High Street and Scotter Square; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. You will find Eastleigh on the A335 and B3033, so it is easy for us to reach with the truck or trailer. Nearby, we also cater events in Bishopstoke (1 mile east), Boyatt Wood (1 mile north-west), Allbrook (2 miles north), Lord's Wood (2 miles north-east) and Highbridge (2 miles north). Within a short drive, we also cover Winchester (6 miles north), Gosport (14 miles south-east), Fareham (10 miles south-east), Horndean (15 miles east), Totton (8 miles south-west) and Hedge End (4 miles south-east). As one of the bigger places in Hampshire, Eastleigh has lots of places to hold an event.

A little further out are Moorgreen Hospital (2.9 miles south) and Eastleigh Museum (under half a mile west). Open spaces near Eastleigh include Flexford Nature Reserve.

  • Nearby schools include Quilley School of Engineering (0.8 miles south-west)
  • Local pubs include The Wagon Works pub (less than half a mile north-west)

Planning drinks for every guest

A few tips to help the bar run smoothly:

  • Make sure drivers have good choices
  • Serve food alongside the drinks
  • Tell us when the bar should open and close
  • Share taxi numbers with guests

Responsible serving comes first: under-18s aren’t served alcohol, and nor is anyone who has had too much.

Pair the bar with tacos, burritos and nachos.

Why choose Mexican bar hire in Eastleigh?

Alcohol-free guests get more than squash.

Whatever the occasion, the serving truck can be a highlight. We are happy to cater:

  • Work celebrations
  • Garden get-togethers
  • Engagement and anniversary parties
  • Taco nights and themed parties

A drinks bar at a garden or hall near a church like Church of the Resurrection gives guests something to enjoy while photos are taken.

Before booking anyone

  • Payment terms and deposit
  • The caterer’s food hygiene rating
  • The wet-weather plan
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Planning the serving area

We will agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A clear area in front of the bar
  • Details of power and water on site
  • The right licence for alcohol: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Popular choices

  • Horchata
  • Fruit aguas frescas
  • Margaritas
  • Soft drinks
  • Agua de jamaica (hibiscus)
  • Mexican beer

Step by step

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. Sunset in Eastleigh is around 9:25pm in June, so a summer drinks bar can run into the evening in daylight. For a bar running past dusk, ask the venue about outdoor lighting.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and the drinks you have in mind.
  2. Together we check how alcohol will be licensed at your event.
  3. We put together a drinks menu, with alcohol-free choices, and quote for it.
  4. On the day, our bar staff serve drinks responsibly at the agreed times.
  5. We pack away when the bar shuts and leave the area tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
