Tacos are relaxed party food: easy to eat while you mingle and there’s no need for a seating plan. It works well for retirement celebrations and birthday parties, with loaded nachos, a build-your-own taco bar and tacos.

Birthdays and summer parties in Hove often happen at home or in a local hall. A food truck can work at either, as long as we can drive in and park on level ground. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

Step by step

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can spend time with your guests. In Hove, it’s light until about 9:20pm in June but dark by about 3:55pm in December, so the time of year shapes an evening party.

  1. It starts with your date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote for your party.
  3. We check the space and access for the truck or trailer.
  4. On the day we set up and serve hot food at the time you choose.
  5. We pack down after service so the party can carry on.

Before we arrive

  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: give us the basics about your party, and we will make suggestions. When you are ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

Planning help

Catering for every guest

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Count adults and children separately
  • Make sure there is a vegan option
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Put out bins for general waste and recycling

At food time, we open the hatch.

Bowls as an alternative to tacos.

Working with your venue

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Hove: your questions answered

Can you serve near the sea around Hove?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades normally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

How far is Hove from central London?

It is about 46 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

What will our party cost?

We don’t publish set prices, because every party is different. Tell us your numbers and plans for a quote.

Do we need to provide plates?

Tell us what you need and we’ll include the options in your quote.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll plan the menu around them.

Do you cover Hove?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Hove and the rest of Brighton and Hove. To check your date, fill in our quote form.

How spicy is the food?

It is up to you: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Who books Mexican party catering in Hove?

It works for almost any celebration, from a first birthday to a ruby wedding.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:

  • Big birthdays
  • Street parties and neighbourhood get-togethers
  • Garden get-togethers
  • Family get-togethers

A birthday picnic in St. Ann's Well Gardens sounds fun, but bringing in a catering vehicle needs the owner’s agreement.

Fresh salsas and guacamole.

Tacos

Street tacos are quick and easy to eat. Fillings are agreed with you.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

How we price Mexican party catering

Contact us for a quote, which reflects:

  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Serving staff
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Whether you need disposables

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

What to tell us

The more we know about your party, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Where the event is
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Your date and when you want service to start

  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.
