Around Ore, a garden and a gazebo is often all you need. A food truck or trailer fits right in, with power and water agreed beforehand. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Planning the serving area
We serve from a truck or trailer, so where we park matters. Here’s what we look for:
- A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
- Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
- A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.
DIY taco night versus a caterer
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.
Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Questions from Ore
Can you serve near the sea around Ore?
We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades generally need the council’s agreement, so check that first.
We’re having a ceremony at Christ Church: can you cater afterwards?
Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Are plates and napkins included?
Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.
Is the food suitable for children?
Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll plan the menu with them in mind.
Do you cook on site?
Food is cooked to order in our food truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.
Can you cater in a back garden?
Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Send us a photo of the access and the space.
Do you need power and water?
That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we will park.
Who clears up?
We pack down and tidy our own area after service. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.
How it works
Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. In Ore, it is light until about 9:15pm in June but dark by about 3:55pm in December, so autumn and winter parties need more thought about lighting.

- After serving, we tidy up and leave you to celebrate.
