Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Eastbourne is in East Sussex. Parties in Eastbourne are planned around your venue and timings: a quote, a plan and friendly service on the day. Rail travellers will be glad to hear that the nearest station is Hampden Park station, about 0.7 miles north-west. Parks such as Princes Park generally need permission for vehicles and catering, so a garden or hired venue is often easier. Hosting near the South Downs National Park, within about 6 miles of Eastbourne? Let us know about gates, slopes and soft grass before the day. With the sea within about 2 miles of Eastbourne, a coastal party could work, though promenades typically need the council’s agreement for vehicles.

What happens on the day

Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. December parties in Eastbourne are dark from about 3:55pm, so plan lighting where guests queue and eat. In late June, it stays light until about 9:15pm.

  1. We start by checking your date and the space.
  2. You choose fillings, sides and extras.
  3. Power, water and access are agreed in advance.
  4. We serve hot food at the time you choose.
  5. We tidy up and leave you to enjoy the party.

Getting ready for the day

  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Eastbourne questions

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Princes Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Could you come to a seaside event near Eastbourne?

Yes, as long as the site allows it and the ground is firm. Seafront and beach spots normally need permission, and wind is the main thing to plan for.

Can you park at my house?

Generally, if there’s firm, level ground and a way in that is wide and tall enough. Send us a photo of the space.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.

Is the food suitable for children?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

Do you give allergen information?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

How big an event can you cater?

Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.
