Working with your venue

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

What’s on the menu

Burritos

Rice, beans, a filling and toppings rolled in a large tortilla.

Salsas and guacamole

Guests add as much salsa as they like.

Planning the serving area

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but there are a few things to check:

  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Send a picture of the spot so we can check

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

What happens on the day

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. In Hastings, it’s light until about 9:15pm in June but dark by about 3:55pm in December, so autumn and winter parties need more thought about lighting.

  1. Send us your date, where the party is, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote for your party.
  3. We check the space and access for the truck or trailer.
  4. We set up and serve tacos and more while your guests enjoy the party.
  5. After serving, we tidy up and leave you to celebrate.

Before we arrive

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Parties in Hastings: gardens, venues and local tips

Hastings is in East Sussex. Whether your party is in the middle of Hastings or on the outskirts, we offer the same service: fresh service from our truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. We cater in all 289 towns and villages across East Sussex, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Hastings to Royal Tunbridge Wells (about 23 miles away).

Parks such as Alexandra Park generally need permission for vehicles and catering, so a garden or hired venue is often easier. Once the service at a church like St Luke's Church is over, the party can move somewhere with space for the truck and a queue. With the sea within about 2 miles of Hastings, a coastal party could work, though promenades usually need the council’s agreement for vehicles.
