How our Mexican street food works in Play Hatch

We trade at festivals, fairs, markets, school fairs and community events in and around Play Hatch. For street food and farmers’ markets and school and charity events, we’ll put together a menu of loaded nachos, quesadillas and burrito bowls for your guests.

Near Play Hatch, events may be far from shops and cafés, so a hot-food truck is a big help. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

How it works

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a photo of the space if you are unsure. Christmas markets in Play Hatch trade in the dark from about 3:55pm, so site lighting matters for traders and visitors alike. By contrast, a midsummer fair stays light until about 9:25pm.

  1. It starts with your event details and pitch information.
  2. We send our menu, pitch requirements and the documents you ask traders for.
  3. On the day, we arrive in the set-up window and get ready to trade.
  4. We serve from the hatch through the trading times you set.
  5. We pack away and leave the pitch tidy.
