How Mexican catering works in HA1

Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Larger festivals and smaller parties are looked at case by case, so let us know how many you expect. It suits big birthday celebrations and wedding breakfasts and evening food, with quesadillas, a build-your-own taco bar and burritos.

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we will park.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Near you in Greenhill

Events here might be close to Northwick Park, Royal Oak pub and Harrow High School. Nearby too are Church of St John the Baptist (under half a mile south-east) and Saint Jerome Church of England Bilingual School (under half a mile north-east). There is a railway station in Greenhill itself: Harrow-on-the-Hill station. Well-known places in the area include St. Anns (less than half a mile south-west) and Hilfield Castle (4.8 miles north). The countryside around Greenhill includes Masons Field and Northala Fields.

Planning a food truck in HA1

There are 3 towns and 0 villages and hamlets in HA1, so the setting can be anything from Harrow, Wembley and Kenton to a quiet hamlet: access, level ground and a clear plan.

Greenhill: If you are celebrating after a service at a church like Church of St John the Baptist, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal. A gathering in Northwick Park would need the park owner’s say-so for any catering vehicle, and that is worth sorting out early. A December event in Greenhill will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Where the event is

It’s easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll send you a clear quote.

What we need at the venue

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue

HA1: your questions answered

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

Do you clear up afterwards?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we will talk it through.

How long are you on site?

That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you to suit your day.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Our truck and trailer service generally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Can you serve in bad weather?

Rain doesn’t stop service from the hatch. Plan a marquee, gazebo or indoor space for guests to eat in.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
