We slow-cook the fillings ahead and finish them on site, while the salsas and guacamole are made fresh. Tortillas are warmed as we serve. It works well for summer garden parties and big birthday celebrations, serving burritos, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas and guacamole.
We work to your timings. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, tell us and we will adjust the start of service where we can.
- Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
- Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
- We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
- Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
- We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.

Planning a food truck in MK9
MK9 covers everything from Loughton to 0 small villages and hamlets, and a food truck or trailer can work in all of them, given access. In towns, plan parking and loading; in villages, tell us about lanes, gates and ground.
Loughton: Thinking of an event in South Loughton Valley park? Public parks generally need the landowner’s permission for a food truck, so check first. By road, Loughton is on or near the A5, which makes it easy for us to reach with the truck or trailer. Winter evenings in Loughton close in by about 3:55pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:25pm.
How we price Mexican catering
These are the factors that matter most:
- Whether you add a drinks bar or food
- Timings and hours
- Parking and the route in
- Plates, napkins and cutlery
Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.
What we need to know
These details help us quote quickly:
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- Diets and allergies you know about
- The date and rough timings
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll suggest a menu. When you are ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

Planning for every diet
Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included. To get it right:
- Tell us how many children are coming
- Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
- Have a covered area ready in case of rain
- Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
If you’ve chosen a taco bar, the fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests help themselves.
Extra salsas and toppings can widen the choice.
Mexican catering or something else?
With a barbecue, someone usually ends up stuck at the grill. Book us and the cooking happens in our food truck or trailer.

DIY taco night versus a caterer
Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.
Common questions in MK9
What access do you need?
Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.
Are plates and napkins included?
Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we’ll confirm what’s included with your quote.
How spicy is the food?
We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.
Can we add a bar?
We can. The drinks bar offers margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and alcohol-free drinks. We will check the licensing with you.
How much will it cost?
We do not publish set prices, because every event is different. Send your details and you’ll get a quote for your event.
How is the food prepared?
Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.
Do you provide allergen information for each dish?
Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.
