How Mexican catering works in RH20
Serving from a truck or trailer keeps the mood easy-going. People wander up, order at the hatch and head off with hot food, which suits informal events. It suits weddings, day or evening and engagement and anniversary parties, serving tacos, loaded nachos and a build-your-own taco bar.
Your timings come first. If things run behind, let us know and we’ll adjust where we can.
- Send us your date, numbers and venue.
- Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
- We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
- Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
- After the last serving, we clear our area.
What you’ll pay
Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Taco catering in RH20: local guide
There are 3 towns and 30 villages and hamlets in RH20, so whether your event is in Horsham, Storrington and West Chiltington Common or a quiet village, the approach is the same: a level, firm spot, a way in and agreed timings. Parts of RH20 are within a few miles of the South Downs National Park, where some venues have extra rules about vehicles and catering.
Storrington: A gathering in Parham Park would need the park owner’s say-so for any catering vehicle, and that is worth sorting out early. Parents planning a fundraiser at a school like Storrington Primary School might find a Mexican street-food truck draws families in. Daylight in Storrington runs to about 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.
Planners, venues and businesses
Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.
If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.
Who books Mexican catering?
The food is bright and generous that fits informal events.
Almost any gathering can work with a truck or trailer. In RH20, you could book us for occasions like:
- Fairs and festivals
- Anniversaries and engagements
- Garden get-togethers
- Retirement and leaving parties
DIY taco night versus a caterer
If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.
Catering for every guest
Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:
- Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
- Collect dietary needs when guests reply
- Give us separate numbers for children
- Confirm the venue is happy to have a catering vehicle
Rain doesn’t stop us serving from the truck or trailer, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.
Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter or as a late snack.
Is Mexican catering right for you?
Next to a hog roast or a barbecue, Mexican street food is easier for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, because fillings and toppings are kept separate.
What your quote should include
- Whether VAT is included
- Plates and napkins, or nothing at all
- The deposit and payment dates
- What the caterer needs from your venue
RH20: your questions answered
What do you need at the venue?
Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.
What about power on site?
Tell us what the site has, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.
Can you plan for allergies?
Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.
Is the food made fresh?
Food is cooked to order in our food truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.
Can you cater for special diets?
We plan carefully for diets and keep options separate, but we can’t promise a kitchen without traces of any allergen. Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us first.
What areas do you cover?
We cater across London and the South East, including West Sussex. See all areas.
