Mexican catering around Sutton

Sutton is about 9 miles north-west of Littlehampton, in West Sussex. From the centre of Sutton to the outskirts, Mexican catering works the same way: fresh service from our food truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. We serve in all 371 towns and villages across West Sussex, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. Our nearest city page is Brighton, about 22 miles away.

If you are celebrating after a service at a church like The Parish Church of the Holy Cross, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal. Guests arriving by train will find that Amberley station is about 3.7 miles away. With the South Downs National Park about 4 miles away at most, a rural setting is never far from Sutton. Country lanes there can be narrow and verges soft, so tell us about the route in.

Mexican catering in RH20 is planned around your venue and access. Close by, we cover events in Duncton (2 miles north-west), East Lavington (2 miles north-west), Rotherbridge (3 miles north), Graffham (3 miles north-west) and Haslingbourne (3 miles north). Within a short drive, we also cover Worthing (12 miles south-east), Bognor Regis (10 miles south), Chichester (9 miles south-west), Selsey (15 miles south-west), Littlehampton (9 miles south-east) and Lancing (14 miles south-east).

Other landmarks nearby include Coultershaw Heritage Site (2.9 miles north) and Arundel and District Hospital (5.3 miles south-east). Not far away are Bignor Hill and Amberley Wild Brooks.

About our Mexican catering in Sutton

Food from a truck or trailer feels relaxed. Guests come up to the hatch, chat while they wait and take something hot back to their seats, which suits informal events. At anniversaries and engagements and milestone birthdays, we can serve loaded nachos, fresh salsas and guacamole and a build-your-own taco bar for your guests.

In a rural place like Sutton, access is the main thing to plan: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Catering for every guest

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Tell us what other food is being served

If timings change on the day, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Quesadillas go down well with children, because they’re simple.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

About the menu

Burritos and burrito bowls

Rice, beans, a filling and toppings rolled in a large tortilla, or the same served in a bowl.

Tacos

Street tacos are small, quick and full of flavour. We serve them with salsas and toppings, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.

Sutton: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Sutton?

Guests can use Amberley station, about 3.7 miles south-east of Sutton.

We are having a ceremony at The Parish Church of the Holy Cross: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we will advise.

Can you set up at our venue?

Send us details of the venue and the access, and we’ll check it works. Space for a queue and, if you choose one, a taco-bar table helps too.

Do you need power and water?

Let us know what’s available on site, for instance a supply from the venue, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you have dairy-free options?

We can. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

How the day works

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. In Sutton, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Begin with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. We serve hot food from our truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. We pack away when service is over.

Getting ready for the day

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Tell us when you want service to start

Choosing a Mexican caterer

How it compares

If you want food that feels relaxed without being basic, tacos, burritos and nachos make a strong choice. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.
