Mexican catering across TN21
With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our food truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. You do not need a kitchen at the venue. It works well for charity and school events and garden parties, with fresh salsas and guacamole, loaded nachos and tacos.
We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens.
- First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
- We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
- Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
- On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our food truck or trailer.
- When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.
Pricing in TN21
There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

What’s near Heathfield
Your event could be close to Runt-in-Tun pub, Parkside Community Primary School and St Richards Church, among other places. Well-known places in the area include Sussex Farm Museum (2.3 miles south) and Old Castle (4.5 miles east). Open spaces near Heathfield include Selwyns Wood.
Catering events across TN21
TN21 covers everything from Heathfield, Sandy Cross and Horam to 17 small villages and hamlets, and a truck or trailer suits most settings with access and level ground. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access and ground. Parts of TN21 are within a few miles of the High Weald National Landscape, where some venues have extra rules about vehicles and catering.
Heathfield: When the service is at a church such as St Richards Church, the food normally happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. If you’re organising a summer fair for a school like Parkside Community Primary School, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser. Evenings in Heathfield stay light until about 9:15pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.
How it compares
Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, tacos make vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests easier to cater for, thanks to separate fillings and toppings.
What your quote should include
- Staff numbers and hours
- Who provides plates and napkins
- When final numbers are due
- Allergen information for each dish
Catering for every guest
We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:
- Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
- Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
- Count children separately
- Add a dietary question to your RSVP
For a taco bar, we lay the fillings, salsas and toppings out on a table, and guests build their own.
Add our Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.
Events we cater in TN21
There’s no kitchen needed at the venue, so it works in gardens, fields and grounds without catering facilities.
Whatever the occasion, our food truck or trailer can be the centre of it. We can cater:
- Markets and community events
- Garden get-togethers
- Leaving parties
- Engagement celebrations
Can I do a taco night myself?
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.
Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.
For planners, venues and organisers
Planning an event for a club, school or charity in TN21? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.
Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.
TN21 questions
Can we add a bar?
Our drinks bar can be added to any booking, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Alcohol needs the right licence, so we’ll check that with you.
Can you come to a private house?
Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it works.
Can you serve in the rain?
We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.
Do you bring plates and cutlery?
Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we’ll set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.
What if it rains?
We can still serve in the rain. Have somewhere covered ready for guests.
What guest numbers do you cater for?
That depends on the event. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we will take it from there.
Do you have vegan options?
Of course. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu, served alongside the meat options.
