Selling questions

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Will you travel to a small place like Selling?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

What if the timings change?

It happens at most weddings. Service starts when your running order says.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

How much is a food truck for an event?

The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Contact us for a quote.

Can a taco bar feel special?

With good presentation, it feels like a celebration.

Can you cater for all our guests’ diets?

We can. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish.

How our wedding Mexican catering works in Selling

A food truck can make a colourful backdrop for photos, and guests enjoy seeing their food served fresh. For engagement celebrations and evening wedding food, we’ll put together a menu of a taco bar for the wedding breakfast, evening tacos and fresh guacamole and salsas for your guests.

A wedding in a small place like Selling often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Should I do it myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

How it compares

Many food trucks only cover evening food. We can cater the wedding breakfast too, so one caterer covers the day. Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

Why us?

  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

  • Allergen information for everything we serve

How it works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down. Golden-hour photos in Selling at midsummer come around 9:15pm, so we can time the evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:45pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the wedding breakfast, evening food or both with you.
  3. We agree timings and access with the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We pack down and leave our area tidy.
