Wedding Mexican catering in Streat, served fresh

Mixed diets are easier with a Mexican wedding menu: there are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, corn tortillas for gluten-free guests and allergen information for every dish. It suits day-after wedding get-togethers and engagement parties at home, with burrito bowls, loaded nachos and fresh guacamole and salsas.

A wedding in a small place like Streat often means a field, a barn or a family garden. That is where a food truck comes into its own: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Let us know about access, ground, power and water. Everything is prepared fresh for your wedding and served from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Step by step

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. At midsummer, sunset in Streat is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the wedding breakfast, evening food or both with you.
  3. We agree timings and access with the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We pack down and leave our area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

What wedding Mexican catering costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • What the venue already provides

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will suggest a menu. To start, use our quote form.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Streat: your questions answered

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the South Downs National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

How far is Streat from central London?

It is about 40 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you cater the whole day?

Yes. We can do a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos for the evening.

Can a taco bar feel special?

It can be as relaxed or as polished as you like, depending on the presentation and the venue.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Do you have options for kids?

Of course. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

What if the photos overrun?

Tell us and we will adjust. We keep in touch with your venue on the day and move the serving time if needed.

Can you run a bar?

Yes. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we’ll talk licensing through with you and your venue.

Organising for someone else?

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.
