Mexican street food for Streat events

Mexican street food in Streat, served fresh

Crew catering can be timed to your schedule, keeping your team going. At agricultural and county shows and sports club events, we will put together a menu of burritos, quesadillas and loaded nachos and more.

At a fête or field event near Streat, a truck or trailer brings hot food to a rural site. Ground conditions and access matter, so tell us about them. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

What affects the price in Streat

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • Guest numbers
  • Serving staff
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Whether you need disposables

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

What we need to know

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Your menu ideas
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • What power and water the site has

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, tell us about it on our contact page.

Planning for every diet

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Ask for allergen information at each stall
  • Plan seating near the food area
  • Check how traders handle peak times
  • Put all trader information in one pack

Our pitch is kept tidy.

Your questions about Mexican street food in Streat

Do you come to school fairs around Streat?

Yes, if the school is happy and there is access for the truck or trailer. Send us the date, pitch and expected numbers.

Do you cater in villages like Streat?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Will you have a stall at our event?

Tell us about the event, dates and pitch, and we’ll let you know if we’re available.

What access do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

Can vegans eat at your stall?

Yes. There are vegan tacos and corn tortillas for gluten-free visitors.

Do you do parties at home?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

How big an event can you cater?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Planning the serving area

Before the day, we’ll agree where we park and serve. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • The event’s site rules and timings
  • Access for the truck or trailer at set-up
  • Spacing from tents and other structures

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Burritos
  • Vegan options
  • Tacos
  • Loaded nachos
  • Burrito bowls
  • Quesadillas

Working with your venue

Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Step by step

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. Summer events in Streat have daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer and about 7:05pm by late September, so evening trading normally finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. It starts with your event details and pitch information.
  2. You get our stall menu, what we need at the pitch and the paperwork you request.
  3. We arrive at the agreed time and set up on our pitch.
  4. We serve from the hatch through the trading times you set.
  5. We pack away and leave the pitch tidy.

How to prepare

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer

Comparing your options

Cooked-from-raw street food can slow queues. With fillings prepared ahead, service is fast. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican street food. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

Why us?

  • A clear quote
  • Events in Streat and across West Sussex
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
