How our wedding Mexican catering works in The City
Your wedding menu is agreed with you, perhaps with fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga or birria, plus vegan options like spiced mushrooms or black beans. On the menu are tacos, a taco bar for the wedding breakfast and fresh guacamole and salsas, which works well for receptions after a small ceremony and farm and barn venues.
There’s something special about a country wedding near The City, and a food truck by the barn or marquee adds to it. Plan for access, soft ground and wet-weather cover for guests. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

What affects the price in The City

- The number of people
- The length of service
- The menu you choose
- How many staff you need
A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

How it works
Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. For a summer wedding in The City, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so evening tacos are generally served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.
- We start by checking your date.
- You pick the menu with us.
- We confirm access and the serving spot with your coordinator.
- Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
- We serve, then pack down.
How to prepare
- Let us know who to talk to on the day
- Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
- Measure any gates or arches on the way in

Common questions in The City
Do you cater in the Chilterns National Landscape?
We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.
We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Paul: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.
What areas do you cover?
London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
Do you cater for suppliers?
Just add them to your numbers. Let us know when they need feeding.
What do you serve?
Mexican street food: tacos and build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.
Is the food made fresh?
We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. For anything outside that, ask us.
How much space do you need?
Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.
How it compares
Many food trucks only cover evening food. We can do the main meal as well, so one caterer covers the day. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What we need at the venue
