Wedding Mexican catering in Yorkletts
Getting married in Yorkletts?
Yorkletts is about 2 miles south-west of Whitstable, in Kent. From the centre of Yorkletts to the outskirts, we offer the same service: fresh service from our truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. We cover all 922 towns and villages across Kent, from the larger towns to small villages.
With a ceremony at a church such as St Alphege, the simplest plan is a reception close by, so guests aren’t travelling far before they eat. We can set up while the photos are taken. Group shots in Foxes Cross Bottom could be lovely, though some parks ask for notice or a permit, so look into it. A wedding by the sea is possible from Yorkletts, with the coast within about 3 miles. Seafront venues may need permission for vehicles, and we plan for the breeze.
Here we cover the CT5 postcode area. That could mean a wedding at a home with a drive on Ford Walk, Glen Walk and Coombe Walk or the roads around them. Neighbouring places where we cater weddings include Denstroude (1 mile south-east), Honey Hill (2 miles south-east), Whitstable (2 miles north-east), Blean (2 miles south-east) and Radfall (3 miles east). Further out, we also cater in Ashford (14 miles south-west), Canterbury (5 miles south-east), Sittingbourne (12 miles west), Faversham (5 miles west), Herne Bay (6 miles north-east) and Minster (11 miles north-west).
Well-known places in the area include Tankerton Castle (2.9 miles north-east) and Whitstable and Tankerton Hospital (3.2 miles north-east). Open spaces near Yorkletts include Blean Woods RSPB Reserve.
Wedding Mexican catering for your wedding in Yorkletts
Wedding taco bars feel relaxed, generous and a little different. Everyone fills their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue becomes a chance to chat. At parties after a register office wedding and late-evening wedding food, we’ll put together a menu of tacos, fresh guacamole and salsas and loaded nachos and more.
There is something special about a country wedding near Yorkletts, and a food truck by the barn or marquee adds to it. Plan access, ground and cover in case of rain. You’ll know what’s included before booking: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Yorkletts questions
Could you serve our guests after a service at St Alphege?
Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Could you serve in Foxes Cross Bottom?
It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.
When do you arrive?
It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.
Do you do parties at home?
Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Send us a picture of the access and the space, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it works.
Do you come to Yorkletts?
We do. Yorkletts is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.
Do you do a wedding bar?
Our drinks bar can be added. We will talk licensing through with you and your venue.
How far ahead should we book?
Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.
Is Mexican street food too casual for a wedding?
It can be as relaxed or as polished as you like, depending on how it’s served.
Step by step
Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. In Yorkletts, midsummer sunset is about 9:15pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:00pm, so evening tacos are generally served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:50pm.
- First, we check availability for your date.
- You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
- We confirm the plan with your venue.
- Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
- We serve, then pack down.
Preparing for the day
- Ask the venue about power and water
- Let us know the timings for the day
- Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
Ask for a quote
We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Loaded nachos
Tortilla chips with cheese, salsa, guacamole and toppings, made for sharing.
Salsas and guacamole
Every taco gets salsa and guacamole.
Can I do a taco night myself?
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.
Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.
Wedding Mexican catering or something else?
Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Separate fillings and toppings cover every diet. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.
