About our food truck hire in Appleshaw

Our drinks bar can be hired with the truck for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you. We can add a taco-bar station next to the truck. It suits company away days and engagement parties, with vegan tacos, burritos and burrito bowls.

Somewhere as small as Appleshaw, food truck hire can mean a garden, a field or a barn. Lanes, gates and long drives are fine if we know about them. Soft ground after rain is worth mentioning too. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

How it works

From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can spend time with your guests. A Christmas party in Appleshaw with a hired food truck will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so ask the venue about outdoor lighting where we’ll park. At midsummer, sunset is around 9:25pm.

  1. Send us your date, the address, a headcount and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a menu for the hatch and quote for it.
  3. Where the truck or trailer will stand, the route in, and power and water are all agreed in advance.
  4. Your guests order at the hatch and we serve hot food at the agreed times.
  5. After service, we close the hatch, pack down and drive away.

Common questions in Appleshaw

Do you hire out your food truck for parties in places like Appleshaw?

Yes, depending on the date. For a private or work event in a village or hamlet, the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

How far is Appleshaw from London?

About 66 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Is private hire the same as trading at a festival?

At a private hire, we serve your guests and nobody else, on a menu and timings agreed with you. At festivals and markets we trade to the public.

Where can the truck park?

Send us the address and a description of the spot, and we will check the access. There’s more in our space and power guide.

Do you come to Appleshaw?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Appleshaw is within our area. For a quote, fill in our quote form.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we’ll go through the licensing with you and your venue.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we will talk it through.

How does food truck hire work?

You book the truck or trailer for set hours at your event. We cook to order, serve from the hatch and pack down afterwards.

About the menu

Burrito bowls

Bowls suit anyone skipping tortillas, and they’re easy to adapt.

Quesadillas

A quesadilla suits cautious eaters.

Space, access and the venue

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and help find another spot. The main points are:

  • Firm, level ground or hardstanding where the truck or trailer can park
  • A parking suspension, where a street spot is needed
  • Seating or standing room near the truck

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

Planning for every diet

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Share your running order
  • Confirm allergies with us in writing
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to speak to us beforehand
  • Measure gates and look for low branches on the way in

We arrive in the agreed window and park where we have arranged. Someone on site to meet us makes it smoother.

Add a build-your-own taco bar beside the truck for a wedding breakfast or lunch.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Events we cater in Appleshaw

Food comes from the hatch hot, one order at a time, rather than waiting under foil.

  • Birthday parties
  • Engagements and anniversaries
  • Weddings
  • Back-garden parties

What your quote should include

  • A clear list of what’s included
  • Who provides plates and napkins
  • Whether VAT is included
  • How late numbers can change

What food truck hire costs

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • What’s on the menu
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Staff for serving and the bar

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Details that help

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • The date and time of the event
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

The quickest way to a quote is to send us your details through our quote form. Tell us about your event in Appleshaw, and we’ll put together a menu and price.

Organising for someone else?

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.
