How it works

Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. At midsummer, it stays light in Church End until about 9:25pm, while late September brings sunset forward to around 7:10pm. For winter events, dark by about 4:00pm, plan lighting where guests queue at the hatch.

  1. Check our availability for your date.
  2. We agree a hatch menu and send a quote.
  3. The spot and the way in are agreed in advance.
  4. We drive in, open the hatch and serve your guests.
  5. After service, we close up and leave the spot clear.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Planning food truck hire around Church End

Church End is about 4 miles north-east of Basingstoke, in Hampshire. We serve at events in homes, gardens and venues in Church End and nearby villages. We cater in all 683 towns and villages in Hampshire, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in.

From central London, Church End is about 43 miles away, which can suit a team day out of the city with a hired food truck. Guests leaving a church like Church of St. Leonard could walk or drive to a nearby garden or hall where the truck is ready.

For food truck hire in RG27, we plan around your venue and the route in and timings. Whether your event is on Wildmoor Lane and Moulshay Lane or anywhere nearby, we will plan where to park and serve. If your venue is just outside Church End, we also cover Sherfield on Loddon (1 mile north), Bramley Green (2 miles north-west), Hartley Wespall (2 miles north-east), Cufaude (2 miles west) and Spanish Green (2 miles north-east). Within a short drive, we also cover Basingstoke (4 miles south-west), Farnborough (11 miles east), Fleet (9 miles east), Aldershot (12 miles east), Alton (11 miles south) and Yateley (9 miles east).

A little further out are Basing House (2.6 miles south) and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (3.8 miles south-west). Not far away are Daneshill Park Woods.

  • Local pubs include The Four Horseshoes Public House (0.9 miles north)

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Parking and the route in
  • Staff for serving and the bar

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

What to tell us

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and rough timings
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • What power and water the site has

Most quotes start with a few simple details: date, location, guest numbers and diets. Contact us for a quote: just tell us about it on our contact page.

Catering for every guest

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Add a dietary question to the invitation
  • Let us know who is coeliac
  • Ask the venue about catering vehicles before booking
  • Send allergy details in writing

Service starts when your timings say, and we cook each order as it comes.

Our Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can join the truck, with licensing checked with you.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

FAQs for Church End

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St. Leonard?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Could we book your food truck for a private event in Church End?

Yes, subject to the date and access for the truck or trailer. Tell us about the lane, gates, ground and parking.

Do you need electricity?

It depends on the event and the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we’ll park.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll suggest the best set-up.

How much is food truck hire?

There is no fixed price list, as every booking is different. Tell us your plans and we’ll quote for your event. See the Mexican catering cost guide for background.

Where can the truck park?

Send us the address and a description of the spot, and we will check the access. There is more in our space and power guide.

How does private food truck hire work?

You book the truck or trailer for set hours at your event. We cook, serve and clear away.

Do you do food truck hire for weddings?

Wedding food from a truck feels relaxed and sociable, especially in the evening. We’ll check access and timings with your venue.

Working with your venue

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

How it compares

For food that becomes part of the event, a private food truck is a strong option. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can feel generous.
